Play With Us We pride ourselves on being an inclusive tennis club and cater for players of all ages and skill levels. At Port Adelaide Tennis Club, we offer junior and senior competition tennis across both Summer and Winter seasons, plus morning and night social tennis which is played all year round. We are affiliated with the Western District Tennis Association of South Australia and both our junior and senior competition players will play a combination of both home and away games throughout a season. Junior competition matches are played on Saturday mornings or Friday nights for Premier and State League players, while senior competition is played on Saturday afternoons. |  |
What to expect on a game day?
| Summer Senior Competition: - This competition runs from October to March with nominations closing early September.
- Played Saturday afternoon from either 12.30pm to 3.30pm or 3.30pm to approximately 6.00pm (schedule dependant).
- Matches are a combination of home (Woolnough Road, Largs Bay) and away matches with away matches generally remaining within the Western suburbs including areas such as West Lakes, Grange, Henley South, Woodville and Glenelg.
- Various team combinations exist including:
- Men only – 4 men playing both doubles and singles
- Ladies only – 4 women playing doubles and singles
- Mixed Doubles – A combination of 2 men and 2 women playing mixed doubles only
| Winter Senior Competition: - This competition runs from May to August with nominations closing early February.
- Played Saturday afternoon from 1.00pm to approximately 5.30pm
- Matches are a combination of home (Woolnough Road, Largs Bay) and away matches with away matches generally more spread across metropolitan Adelaide, including West Lakes, Norwood, Kensington, Seacliff and Henley Beach.
- Various team combinations exist including:
- Men's only – 4 men playing both doubles and singles
- Ladies only – 4 women playing doubles and singles
- Mixed Doubles – A combination of 2 men and 2 women playing mixed doubles only

| Junior Competition (Summer and Winter) - This competition runs from October to March (Summer Season) and May to October (Winter Season) with nominations closing early September and February respectively.
- Played either Saturday morning from 8am or Friday nights from 6:30pm. Matches are not played during the school holiday.
- Competition is open to both girls and boys under the age of 18 years.
- Matches are a combination of home (Woolnough Road, Largs Bay) and away matches with away matches generally remaining within the Western suburbs including areas such as West Lakes, Grange, Henley South, Woodville and Glenelg.
- Various team combinations exist including:
- Boys only – 4 boys playing both doubles and singles
- Girls only – 4 girls playing doubles and singles
- Junior teams are managed by a Junior Manager who coordinates teams, conducts training nights and other junior related activities.
| Social Tennis If you’re not quite ready to join a competition team or prefer the social aspect of tennis, then why not come play with us mid-week? We offer social tennis: - Every Tuesday night from 7.30pm
- Every Wednesday morning from 9.00am
Both of these sessions are attended by a regular group of players who welcome other players of any skill level to join. On Tuesday night our bar is open after matches have finished providing the perfect atmosphere to socialise and get to know other club members. Best of all, you don’t have to be a club member to play socially.
